In an ever-changing field, adaptability is key for success. With the knowledge of broadcast, digital and print journalism, as well as a background in political science I believe I am the ideal modern-day journalist.

I hope to incorporate my background in television, my outgoing personality and passion for the truth to become a successful broadcast journalist. I want to help companies add value and truth to their written and spoken word in a world where the integrity and honesty of the news is in question.

Quinnipiac associate professor and chairperson exposed as internet predator
Thomas Coe, associate professor and chairperson of finance at Quinnipiac, entered the home to meet a 14-year-old boy who he had been having a sexually explicit conversation with on the app Grindr. To his surprise, members of a popular online organization “POPSquad,” were waiting for him, camera in hand ready to expose him as an internet predator. Click here to read the full story.
Quinnipiac purchases university president’s home
On April 23 Quinnipiac University purchased a property for $6.5 million. The land is located at 305 Spruce Bank Road in Hamden, behind the Hilltop parking lot on the Mount Carmel campus. With four buildings on the property, one serves as the home of the university president and another building as a location for university functions. Click here to read the full story.

Golden Ray to be disassembled in place
The Golden Ray will be disassembled in place after maritime experts have determined it is not possible to safely right and refloat the vessel in a fully intact condition, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

2 inmates die of suspected overdose at Florida prison
Two inmates died and a third was in stable condition at a hospital Saturday after a suspected drug overdose at the Columbia Correctional Institution, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.

According to a news release from the agency, security and medical staff responded to initiate lifesaving measures after the inmates were found unresponsive about 3:15 p.m. Staff who responded were checked out at a hospital for symptoms related to potential drug exposure. JSO: Man who resisted traffic stop killed in officer-involved shooting
A man who resisted after a traffic stop Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville’s Tallyrand area was shot and killed, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
